Joshua Morrow
Joshua Morrow has led a fairy tale existence and he's not ashamed to admit it. "I had a perfect life growing up. My dad is my best friend in the world and I can tell my mom anything; she created my extreme respect for women," says Joshua. Although Joshua's parents divorced when he was two and he moved frequently as a child, he is neither scarred nor embittered by the experience. "I grew up with two amazing families, I feel lucky, not cheated," he declares. Now he has an amazing family of his own.
Joshua stars in the very high-profile role of Nick Newman on CBS' "The Young and the Restless," the highest-rated show in daytime television. In 1996, he won a "Soap Opera Award" as "Outstanding Younger Lead Actor" and he's been nominated for five consecutive Emmy Awards. In 2002, he signed an unprecedented five-year renewal contract with the show. He also starred in USA's TV movie, "My Stepson, My Lover," opposite Rachel Ward. He's been named one of the hottest men in daytime by countless teen and soap opera magazines. Sure, luck had something to do with it but discipline, determination, exuberance and self-confidence also contributed greatly, as did his unmistakable charm.
Few people on-screen or off can resist a young man who adapts into any new situation with such ease. Joshua had a lot of experience encountering new situations having grown up in Oklahoma, New Mexico and California. No matter where he went, he made friends and he made his school's athletic teams. An all-around athlete, Joshua played on his junior and senior high school football, basketball, baseball, soccer, track and tennis teams.
