Marilyn - Elton John at Caesar's Palace - Las Vegas

Elton On Stage!

Sir Elton John's flashy Red Piano show just got under way last month at Caesars Palace, but the 57-year-old superstar has already made his mark in the gambling mecca.

The audience at his Feb 13 concert premiere boasted a "who's who" of Hollywood, including Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas, Pam Anderson, Christina Aguilera, Barbara Walters and her co-hosts from The View, plus Elton's longtime companion, David Furnish, 41, who is living with Elton while he's living in Las Vegas, sources say.

Afterward, spies say 60 casino high rollers were invited to join Elton at his opening night bash, held in Caesars Florentine Ballroom. Decorations included 24-karat gold candleholders, fine china — and 42 male model waiters who caroused with guests!

Big Caesars Life

Elton is being paid $50 million-plus for performing 75 shows over the next three years. Caesars sources say during that time, he's being put up in a renovated penthouse luxury high-roller suite in the famous hotel that has a full-service kitchen and marble bathroom, sources say.

Elton is also now a part of the foundation of Caesars Palace — literally. When Elton learned that employees were signing bricks to be used for the support structure of the hotel's expansion, the "Yellow Brick Road" singer signed the one and only yellow brick.

Elton also has his own boutique located in the famed Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, and when he wants to shop there, the store closes down to the public. And it seems as if Elton could support the store all "buy" himself. He recently purchased $6,500 platinum and diamond tags that read, "The Bitch is Back," insiders say. Elton clearly has always has a sense of humor about himself.

Where He Eats and Shops

Elton hydrates his million-dollar voice with water, but his vice is Diet Coke, sources say. The hotel staff goes out of their way to provide him with the soda, which we hear he insists on drinking only out of cans.

Elton dines at the Bradley Odge restaurant located at Caesars. He often starts with $49 shellfish medley and the $39 blue cheese soufflé. (No Atkins for him!) For an entrée, he loves the $175 plate of Kobe beef, imported from Japan.

The flamboyant showman shops at the upscale shop Bernini. He purchased a $1,900 leather and rabbit jacket, but had to wait to receive a $30,000 leather and fur jacket that was being handmade for him. Spies report he's been seen splurging up to $70,000 in one sitting. All of which appears to indicate that what Elton earns in Vegas he spends in Vegas.
