Del Rio

Del Rio Band came into existance in 1993. Mark Owens had just moved back to East Texas, his old home town area. He was playing with a local band from Dallas. When the band broke up, Mark decided to move back to his home town of Longview, Texas and start a new band, which is now known as Del Rio.

He had the same band members for about 13 years, when the bass player and drummer quit. So in 2004 he hired a new drummer, Steve Langford. In 2004 Steve switched to playing bass in the band.

"We where using Dickie Sherman as a fill in drummer on occasion and we seemed to have a good combination and the chemistry and music was good. So we joined up together to start the new Del Rio Band in 2004.

Now I seem to have the band I was looking for. We started playing clubs, stage shows, private parties, street dances, motel clubs, honky tonks, weddings, benefits and many different occasions.

Dickie, Steve and I have been together for two years now and our band has no problem playing anywhere and pleasing any crowd. We can play all types of county, classic rock, and blues. One of the greatest things you will find about Del Rio Band is that we have a real close nit family type relationship and all get along as well not playing as we do on stage.This makes for a high energy band and lots of fun when we are performing.
